When I was 7, my only goal was to be the next Picasso. Painting and sculpting, building and designing every chance I had. I created some crazy stuff. In High School I made the advanced art program. My senior year, nothing but art. I was on my way. I was fortunate to attend one of the greatest art schools in the world, The California College of Arts and Crafts (now it’s just called the California College of Arts). Studying fine art and film, I was in my element, pure bliss. And then it was time to get a job OH NO! What the heck was I thinking, fine art and film. Well a couple of years went by and I was doing odd jobs here and there, when my sister called. She’s looking for a designer at a winery she worked for. See she did it right, graduated with a design degree. Well I took the job and that’s where I fell in love with package design. Everything about it. From the birth of the product to the creation of the brand. The mocks and shelving the product, just to see how it’s going to stack up against the competition. So my sister left the winery the following year. I remained there where I built the design department into a team of 8 designers, with web guys and print guys, even a in-house photographer. In-charge of the creation of 5 brands, which soon became 12 when we were bought be Vincor. Unfortunately Vincor USA was bought by Constellation Brands and let us go. Que Sera Sera, that’s the industry. Over 20 years of experience in the wine industry and consumer products as a Creative Director, Art Director, Designer and Illustrator, I’m now out on my own. There’s nothing more exciting then seeing your work in retail. Walking into a store and seeing your product or hearing your design is the hot brand everyone loves. My work has been cited world wide through trade publications, corporate identity and I’ve created package designs that have become million case brands.

I reside in a small town between San Francisco and Lake Tahoe, giving me and my family quick access to our favorite pastimes, the beach and snow. my lifestyle, love for my three kids and wife of 18 years are inspiration for my signature design style.

Unconventionally stylish and urbane, I apply a bold hand to my creations, while using classic details and colors to fuse the two into powerful 21st Century design. A master of many innovative techniques.
